In a normal house, on a quiet street, Lives the kind of girl you'd like to meet.
Her name is Lottie and she is brave and bold, and she has a splendid secret that has never been told…
Published by Jelly Bean Books and illustrated by Patrick Coombes, 'The Superhero Who Couldn't Fly' emphasises the important characteristics that we hope our children grow up with, such as happiness, kindness, good manners, resilience and perseverance. Its lead character – Lottie - also challenges gender stereotypes by being strong, spirited, sporty and a superhero! The book is aimed at pre-school and primary age children, but carries strong messages for children of all ages – girls and boys.
I purchased 'The Superhero Who Couldn't Fly' for my two children aged 6 & 5, they loved the story so much that its now a new bedtime favourite. Thank you for inspiring their minds and for showing them not all heroes wear a cape!
